2009 TOYOTA Matrix Trim LEVELS (1/3)

 

The 2009 TOYOTA Matrix Standard Model

All in all, the 2009 Toyota Matrix has four distinct models.

There are three distinct trim levels, namely the standard model, S models and the XRS models. Plus the all wheel drive version of the S model (which is considered to be a different model.).

2009 Matrix Standard Model Specifications:

-1.8-liter engines, and five-speed manual transmission.

-standard cloth upholstery

-air conditioning,

-60/40 split-fold rear seats

-AM/FM/CD stereo lead unit

-input jack for media players and XM satellite radio.

-fully adjustable, tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel

-optitron electro-luminiscent gauges with tachometer

-power mirrors, intermittent wipers, engine immobilizer and cargo cover.

The Standard build of the 2009 Matrix also includes:

-alloy wheels

-six-speaker upgrade

-power locks and windows,

-keyless entry, and cruise control.

There are also options for a moonroof or the all-weather package, which includes:

-heated mirrors

-intermittent rear wipers

-rear seat heating ducts.

-electronic stability control

-options for five-speed manual and the four-speed automatic.

Toyota Establishes Research Institute in North America

According to Dr. Kikuchi, “Creating the Toyota Research Institute is the next step to strengthen Toyota’s advanced research function throughout North America and to discover cutting-edge technologies for sustainable mobility,” That Toyota has pursued their sustainable mobility which addresses its four keys priorities which are advanced technologies, urban environment, energy, and partnerships with government and academia.

TRI-NA help them to accelerate advance will accelerate advanced research on energy and environment, safety, and mobility infrastructure. The President of Toyota Technical Center-NA, Mr. Yasuhiko Ichihashi, and the Toyota Research Institute will be directed by Dr. Noboru Kikuchi, who is the Roger L. McCarthy Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan and also a Director of Toyota Central Research & Development Laboratories, Inc. in Japan.
