When you opt for the 2009 Matrix you will be given a choice between the of 1.8-liter and 2.4-liter engines. Leaving the previous version by a mile, the 2009 Matrix is equipped with a larger 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine.

The body work is all new: from the gearboxes, brakes, steering and safety systems, everything has all been recreated. The design really is the evolutionary update of the previous version.
Toyota has set the 2009 Matrix to be its smallest crossover vehicle but it is virtually larger than its predecessor. The Matrix can carry and comfortably seat up to four adults. plus the rear seats can be folded to expand the cargo hold and it has it also has four doors.
