TOYOTA 2009 Matrix Review (4/4)

2009 Matrix VS other competitors

The 2009 Matrix boasts of its versatility as it has space to put anything in it, it can fit anywhere and it can also be used for show.

The Matrix  is a sensible choice for people who wants to have the flexibility of a hatchback at a lesser price as the Toyota Matrix has a really inexpensive price point.

The 2009 Matrix can directly compete with other cross-overs made by other companies, such as the Nissan “Versa”, the Honda “Fit”, the the Volkswagen “Golf” and the Subaru “Impreza”.

The 2009 Matrix is in fact “roomy” that it can also be put up against other small vans like Nissan’s “Rogue”, Kia’s “Sportage”, Honda’s “CR-V”, Hyundai’s “Tucson”, Mazda’s “Mazda5” and even other small crossover SUVs.

The Matrix 2009 may be smaller, but in terms of utility, it can live up to expectations.

TOYOTA 2009 Matrix Review (3/4)

Matrix 2009 Mileage

The Matrix runs basically on regular fuel with a mileage rating of 20 miles per gallon in the city, and 30 mpg in the highway for the 2.4 liter engine.

The smaller displacements with manual transmission can make it up to mid-20 mpg in the city and can get past 30 mpg in driving in the highway.

Given that it is made by Toyota, the new engine is one of the Matrix’s best traits as it surpasses  the old Matrix engine which was not as reliable as other Toyota engines.

Toyota users would guarantee the quality of Toyota. And the 2009 Matrix is a good choice because it is an inexpensive model that can deliver great mileage be in on the traffic plagued city or the fast paced highway.

Toyota Corolla S

2008-toyota-corolla-s.jpg

I’ve always been a little biased when it comes to Toyota. My first car was a ‘93 Corolla and I have fond memories of that baby. Anyway, check out its 2008 trim levels.

All Corolla S, LE, and CE offer standard and optional exterior and interior features. Mostly their exteriors are sleek and have color-keyed body side moldings. They also have power outside mirrors ad smoked headlamps. The interiors boast amenities such as a 60/40 split fold-down rear seat, silhouette sport speedometer and leather-wrapped steering wheel. Am adjustable tilt steering wheel, CFC-free air conditioning, and a deluxe AM/FM ETR/CD with four or six speakers are also part of the package. The engine is a standard 130-horsepower, 1.8-liter, DOHC, 16-valve, VVT-I, 4-cylinder. For other performance features, check the official Toyota website

TOYOTA 2009 Matrix Review (2/4)

Matrix 2009 Engine

When you opt for the 2009 Matrix you will be given a choice between the of 1.8-liter and 2.4-liter engines. Leaving the previous version by a mile, the 2009 Matrix is equipped with a larger 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine.

Matrix 2009: Matrix reinvented

The body work is all new: from the gearboxes, brakes, steering and safety systems, everything has all been recreated. The design really is the evolutionary update of the previous version.

Toyota has set the 2009 Matrix to be its smallest crossover vehicle but it is virtually larger than its predecessor. The Matrix can carry and comfortably seat up to four adults. plus the rear seats can be folded to expand the cargo hold and it has it also has four doors.

TOYOTA 2009 Matrix Review (1/4)

Looking for a cool car that does not slack on performance?

If you are, then you should check the 2009 Toyota Matrix out.

The 2009 Matrix is the second generation of the 20003 Matrix.

Imagine the Toyota Corolla, modified into a hatchback platform, even made better with a more tasteful style which can be seen from the outside, to the inside.

The Toyota Matrix has four trim levels for a wide selection of options.

The Toyota Motors refers it as the “Corolla Matrix” but every piece of it is new except the “all wheel drive system”; a technology which is present in the 2006 Toyota RAV4.

Pre-owned, Toyota Camry Review

toyota-camry.jpg

I recommend Toyota vehicles when looking for pre-owned cars since they can still be up and running even after a decade.

The Totota Camry is a very reliable car. They are easy to service and its parts are moderately priced. Older models may not pass luxury standards but they are more than adequate as family sedans. Downside? Rattling noises from suspension after certain mileage, the 4 cylinder engine can get a bit noisy, and the brake pedals are a little soft. However, it offers a smooth ride and good handling. Do not let its interiors fool you as they are certainly very comfortable.

TOYOTA VS. HONDA

The 2 most important Japanese car producers today are Toyota and Honda. Both cars are well made and have there own technological enhances. They also show the way the race for the most fuel well-organized cars. If you’re looking for the most fuel efficient car, the Toyota Prius has an edge over the Honda Civic. But if you’re looking for toughness, I would say that Honda cars are more durable. They will give you 5-10 trouble free years provided you obey with the manufacturers scheduled preservation checks. I’m not saying that Toyota cars are not durable, its just that Honda cars are made of sturdier stuff. On the down side, Honda’s design is redundant and parts are expensive. Toyota’s simpler figures make it easier and cheaper to maintain than Honda’s. This allows Toyota cars to be in top shape far longer than their competitors. Verdict: buy a Honda. If it reaches 10 years you actually have to get a new car anyhow.

The Toyota Celica

82.jpg

When I was young we owned a Toyota Celica. It was my dad’s teenage car. In 1967, the Toyota Celica was planned and originally designed for young at heart motorists and for those who wanted more than a mode of transportation. In an official history of the Toyota Celica released by Toyota USA states that when planning for the Celica began in 1967, its styling was quite revolutionary and it influenced the establishment of the sporty subcompact market segment. The original Celica powered with a carbureted four-cylinder engine and was only available in ST form and as a two-door sports coupe making it an image car than a volume car.

Toyota’s Green Revolution

With the ever soaring prices of gasoline, more and more people opt to go hybrid. Toyota Cars is now taking the first step and the lead in giving consumers a cleaner and cheaper option which is the hybrid. Hybrid vehicles reduce pollution and emissions by switching from a gasoline powered car to an electric motor powered car. Recent news tells us that Toyota is building a $192 million plant in Japan. This plant is to produce batteries for hybrid vehicles. Toyota has this joint with Panasonic brand products maker Matsushita Electric Industrial Company. This plant is to be located in central Japan.
